Decision Making & Emotional Regulation
You’ll build emotional intelligence by recognizing the emotional aspects of winning and losing through self-reflection and learning ethical responses to gameplay outcomes. Our major Game Analysis/Reflection assessment (35% of grade) develops self-awareness through deep reflection on gameplay emotions and teamwork, supported by game debriefing and group reflection sessions.
Respect & Social Status through Collaboration and Teamwork
Teamwork is foundational to this course. You’ll collaborate effectively in teams to create and communicate game-based solutions while mastering collaborative design processes. Through group work, peer evaluations, and team assessments, you’ll understand how collaboration enhances everyone’s learning experience.
Exploration & Risk Taking and Meaning & Purpose Through Contribution
You’ll explore ideas in a safe learning environment while developing educational game prototypes through iterative design processes. Learning that failure and revision drive innovation, you’ll create educational games that serve others genuine purpose.
